A Sarah-shaped Package

Do you have that person in your life who is nothing like you, but at the same time is exactly like you? They’re quiet, and you’re kinda loud and crazy. They seem to have their life together, and you’re over here wondering what the heck is going on.

I know I do. It’s Sarah. My best friend. Don’t get me wrong, she can get loud and crazy, and I’d be willing to bet that she doesn’t have her life quite as together as I think she does (after all, do any of us really have it all figured out?). But she’s still awesome. Sarah is the kind of friend that everyone should have. She’s understanding, she’s kind, she’s smart, she’s funny, she’s beautiful, she’s sweet… pretty much every good quality you can imagine is all tied up and wrapped up in a Sarah-shaped package.

Sarah and I started this blogging journey together over eight and a half months ago, but really, she’s the brains behind the whole operation. She did a ton of research and still does to help us potentially reach the most people. She always has great post ideas and executes them amazingly. All while putting together an amazing home with her awesome hubby (basically the only guy in the world who could come close to being good enough for my best friend). Seriously, y’all, if you could just spend a day hanging out with us at her house, you’d see what I mean. It’s amazing.

I thank God every day that He saw fit to bring this amazing person into my life at just the right time. If I hadn’t had Sarah down in Florida, I honestly have no idea what would have happened to me. I helped her let loose a little, sure, but she ultimately kept me in line. And, the day that I told her I knew it was time for me to move home, she supported me wholeheartedly. I know she wanted me to stay in Jacksonville with her, but, like a true friend, she ultimately wanted what was best for me.

So, Sarah, this one’s for you. You were my maid of honor, my almost roommate, and my roadtrip buddy. You’re my partner-in-crime, my ride or die, my sister from another mister. You’re my person.

Happy birthday, Sarah. May this year be the most epic one yet.

I love you.
