Three Festive Drinks

There’s nothing better than a mug full of hot cocoa on a cold, December day…

Except for maybe a cup of hot apple cider.

And, now that I think of it, a cold glass of eggnog would really taste wonderful washing down that fruitcake my neighbor insists on making every year.

With so many holiday drink options, where to begin? In the event you’re playing holiday hostess this year, I’ve compiled a list of three of my favorite festive drinks to choose from—with alcoholic AND non-alcoholic versions of each. That way, you’re prepared and your guests are happy.

After all, if the drinks are good (and strong), who cares how the food turns out? 🙂

The best thing about all of these recipes is that they’re completely customizable. If you’re watching your calories, you can substitute Stevia for sugar or skim milk for whole. And, if you want to simplify the cocktails, just spike the regular recipes with alcohol. I recommend dark rum for the apple cider and Goldschlager for the eggnog. No matter which way you make them, they’re guaranteed to be delicious!

What’s your favorite holiday drink?
