We are now smack dab in the middle of the holiday season! Last week was Thanksgiving, Christmas is in a few weeks, then New Year’s Eve is right after. Dinners, parties, shopping, traveling, and all kinds of stuff. The easiest way to keep track of this is a planner, but sometimes, in all the hustle and bustle, we don’t always have time to dig out our planner.
Enter, the household calendar.
We like the whiteboard type in our house, personally. We got ours from The Board Dudes at Target a little over a year ago, and it’s been a huge help! My husband would constantly ask me if I was working the next day, but now he can just check the calendar. For this month, we’ve got a cruise, a LifeGroup party, my work schedule, Andrew’s tech meet-ups, and more on the books; but, with a glance, it’s all laid out for us.
Our calendar also has a bonus feature of notes space on the side. We use it to help with meal planning by keeping a list of all the meal options we have in the house at the moment. The top space is also great for jotting down things we need to pick up at the grocery store.
In this time of year, with all that’s going on, it’s easy to get a little overwhelmed. Take a minute, write down your appointments and plans as you make them. Having them all in one place helps you breathe easier, and who doesn’t need some of that right now!
How do you keep up with your family’s Christmas schedule?
